What Were Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young adults, preferably in an educational or support role
• Previous exposure to students with autism or experience in special education settings is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to diverse classroom environments and student needs
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory
• Reliability and flexibility to work per diem/as needed
• Team-oriented attitude with a keen sense of initiative

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing 1:1 support for students, typically those on autism support caseloads, to encourage academic and social success
• Assisting with general classroom management and instruction as directed by classroom teachers
• Implementing individualized student goals and following behavior management protocols
• Supporting students with learning activities, personal care, and transitions throughout the school day
• Helping to maintain a positive and safe classroom atmosphere
• Collaborating closely with special education staff, therapists, and school teams to ensure student progress
