School Paraprofessional Substitute Opportunities Per Diem

As an Instructional Aide working on an as-needed, per diem basis, you will provide direct support to students in classroom environments, collaborating closely with teachers and school staff. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small-group assistance to students as directed by teachers and staff
• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially during class
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs when required
• Supervise students mobility and support personal care needs as necessary
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Essential Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• Willingness to complete a TB test per district guidelines
• Capacity to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• All required school clearances current or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques a plus (not mandatory)
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach to working with students and staff

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
