Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Vero Beach, Florida

Exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional passionate about supporting students in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community! For the upcoming 25/26 school year, a full-time contract position is available near Vero Beach, FL. This on-site, itinerant role involves collaborating closely with another experienced DHH teacher while managing a diverse student caseload. Immediate start dates are available for qualified candidates seeking to make a meaningful impact.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience teaching or supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Strong knowledge of accommodations, assistive technology, and communication modalities (such as ASL, oral, total communication, or cued speech)
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a broader team
• Excellent collaboration and organizational skills for managing caseloads across multiple sites
• Adaptable and committed to meeting each students individual needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing across multiple school sites
• Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with lead DHH colleagues, general educators, families, and related service providers
• Advocate for accessibility and inclusion in educational environments
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary
• Participate in professional meetings, training, and ongoing learning opportunities
