Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Stuart, FL

Make a meaningful impact supporting students in the 25/26 school year as an itinerant Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. In this full-time, on-site role, you'll collaborate closely with an established DHH teaching team, extending support to another educator's caseload and ensuring consistent, high-quality service across multiple locations. Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH)
• Experience in educational settings working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Strong understanding of diverse communication methods including sign language and assistive technology
• Ability to adapt instruction and materials to suit varying student needs
• Excellent organizational skills to effectively manage an itinerant schedule and support another teachers diverse caseload
• Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working with multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable facilitating communication with families, classroom teachers, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative support to students with hearing impairments alongside another DHH teacher
• Develop and modify instructional materials to support individual educational plans (IEPs)
• Travel to designated campuses to ensure consistent educational support
• Serve as a resource for general education teachers, helping them implement appropriate strategies and accommodations
• Track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for all students
