Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Prior experience supporting students with hearing impairments in educational settings preferred
• Strong understanding of various communication modalities, assistive technology, and individualized instructional strategies
• Excellent organizational skills for managing a varied, itinerant schedule
• Ability to collaborate with other special educators, general education teachers, and school staff
• Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to empowering students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting methods to meet individual needs
• Partner with another DHH teacher to manage and support their caseload
• Travel between sites as an itinerant teacher, ensuring students at multiple schools receive services
• Collaborate with classroom teachers on accommodations, modifications, and inclusive classroom practices
• Monitor student progress, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain thorough documentation
• Facilitate positive communication with families and other service providers
