- Strong grasp of instructional approaches and assistive technology for students with hearing challenges
- Skilled collaborator, effective communicator, and advocate for inclusivity
Key responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and adapt lessons for students with hearing impairments
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) to address each students needs
- Employ a range of assistive technologies and visual aids to support accessible learning
- Partner with general education teachers, staff, and parents to encourage student engagement and progress
- Offer guidance and resources on best practices for interacting with and supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing
