Special Education Teacher | Yuba City, California

A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher near Yuba City, CA, beginning as soon as possible through the end of the school year. Youll guide a caseload of 10-15 students, shaping individualized instruction and collaborating within a supportive and energetic school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active California Moderate/Severe (Mod/Sev) Teaching Credentialrequired.
• Previous experience working in an ESN Special Day Class setting.
• Demonstrated skill in writing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Expertise in understanding and executing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Proven ability to coach and coordinate a team of 5-9 paraeducators in the classroom.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with diverse needs.
• Develop, write, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance and student growth.
• Implement BIPs and utilize proactive behavioral management strategies.
• Lead collaboration efforts with paraeducators, school staff, and families.
• Foster a safe, positive classroom culture that celebrates every learners success.
• Track student data, progress, and goals with accuracy and confidentiality.
