Job Description

Your work will focus on a manageable caseload of 11 elementary-aged students, allowing for dedicated attention and personalized educational plans. Collaboration with general education teachers, support staff, and families will be key in creating a positive, growth-oriented classroom experience. The assignment begins as soon as possible and offers approximately 35.85 hours each week.
Qualifications:
- Active California Moderate/Severe Education Specialist credential required
- Proven experience working as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs, track progress, and make data-driven decisions
- Comfortable working with a diverse range of learning and behavioral needs
- Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and innovative classroom
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe needs
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs according to student progress
- Collaborate closely with fellow educators, specialists, and families to ensure holistic student support
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet a variety of learning styles
- Maintain clear documentation of student goals, progress, and behavioral plans
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages academic, social, and emotional growth
