Job Description

This role focuses on serving a caseload of 4th through 6th grade students and requires an educator with experience in specialized instruction, compassionate classroom management, and a thorough understanding of individualized education program implementation. Desired Qualifications:
- Active California Education Specialist Credential (ESN or Moderate/Severe required)
- Prior classroom experience with elementary-age students, preferably in mod/severe or ESN settings
- Solid understanding of IEP development, documentation, and implementation
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and additional service providers
- Creative problem solver, resourceful and patient when addressing unique learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans adapted to various cognitive and developmental levels
- Monitor student progress and provide data-driven reports for IEP meetings
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related services staff, and general education teachers
- Create a positive, structured classroom environment with behavior management strategies
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
