Special Education Teacher in Suisun City, CA

Qualifications:

• Active California Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) Credential, or currently in the process of obtaining one (required)
• Experience or academic background in teaching children with moderate to severe needs at the elementary level

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction, intervention, and support for a caseload of kindergarten and first-grade students with moderate/severe disabilities
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating closely with families and related service providers
• Foster an environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth tailored to each students abilities
• Employ adaptive and evidence-based teaching strategies, utilizing assistive technology and differentiated instruction when appropriate
