Job Description
Make an immediate impact as a Special Education Teacher for the first semester at an elementary level. This full-time contract role near South San Francisco, CA covers a leave and may extend through the end of the school year. You'll support students as a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) educator, working closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized instruction and create a positive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Active California Mild/Moderate credential (required)
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
- Familiarity with elementary grade caseloads and IEP processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support as an Elementary RSP teacher for students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), track student progress, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
