Special Ed Teacher - Sonora, California

Make a positive impact supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time contract role for the remainder of the school year. This opportunity is based near San Andreas, CA, working with a mild/moderate caseload of 12 students in a self-contained classroom environment from 7:30am2:30pm daily. Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and active California Special Education credential (mild/mod or mod/severe required)
• Experience with elementary-aged students in a Special Day Class (SDC) or similar setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and differentiation for diverse learners
• Ability to foster inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environments
• Collaborative, positive attitude and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and adapt instruction based on students individual needs and IEPs
• Effectively manage a classroom of elementary students with mild to moderate needs
• Conduct assessments and contribute to developing and reviewing IEPs
• Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Track progress, maintain documentation, and report student growth regularly
• Participate in professional development and school meetings

This contract position offers pay in the range of $4548 per hour, with the added advantages of weekly pay, comprehensive insurance covering medical, dental, vision, and life, a matching 401k plan, and a flexible spending account.
