Special Education Teacher in San Francisco, CA

What you bring:

• Active California credential in mild/moderate special education (required)
• Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students in a resource or special education setting
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
• Ability to adapt instruction and provide differentiated support within the classroom setting
• Team-oriented mindset and superb communication skills with colleagues and families
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing student and school needs

In this role, you will:

• Deliver instruction and support for a caseload of elementary students with mild to moderate needs as an RSP teacher
• Craft and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure compliance
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster inclusive learning environments
• Regularly assess and communicate student progress to families and the educational team
• Maintain accurate records and fulfill all required documentation
• Support a positive, respectful classroom culture that celebrates student strengths
