Special Education Teacher in San Francisco, CA

Make a significant impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students in a Resource Specialist Program near San Francisco, CA! This contract position runs from August 13 through the end of the school year and offers a full-time schedule within a dedicated and collaborative educational setting.

In this SPED role, youll work with a manageable caseload of 28 students, providing key instructional and support services tailored to learners with mild to moderate needs. The position offers the opportunity to partner closely with colleagues, families, and studentscreating an engaging and supportive classroom environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active California Mild/Moderate Special Education teaching credential (required)
• Prior experience supporting students at the middle school level preferred
• Commitment to individualized instruction and differentiated learning
• Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with families
• Organizational skills to manage documentation, planning, and progress monitoring

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction to students on your caseload following IEP guidelines
• Develop and implement individual education plans in partnership with families and related service providers
• Regularly assess and report on student progress, making adaptations as needed
• Provide academic and behavioral interventions tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure student integration and success
• Maintain all required case records and documentation in line with school and state requirements
