Special Day Class Teacher Extensive Support Needs (Middle School)

Spindle is partnering with a school district to hire a Middle School Special Day Class (SDC) Teacher Extensive Support Needs for next school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a Special Day Class for middle school students with extensive support needs in a structured, supportive environment

• Design and implement individualized academic and functional curriculum aligned with IEP goals

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with transition-focused goals for adolescent learners

• Supervise and direct paraprofessionals to support classroom instruction and student independence

• Maintain collaborative relationships with families, related service providers, and school staff

Qualifications:

• California Education Specialist Credential Extensive Support Needs

• Experience leading an SDC classroom and supervising paraprofessionals preferred

• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
