Special Education Teacher in Raymond, CA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant K-6 school setting. This full-time, in-person position begins in August and continues through the 26/27 school year. You'll work with a mild/moderate caseload of up to 10 students. The learning environment is enhanced by dedicated administrative support from both the Principal and Vice Principal.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current, active California mild/moderate education specialist credential required
• Proven background in teaching special education, specifically grades K-6
• Expertise in facilitating IEP meetings from start to finish, including documentation and collaboration
• Strong skills supporting students with social/emotional needs within an inclusive environment
• Ability to foster a supportive and engaging classroom, adapting to individual learning styles
• Outstanding communication and organization abilities

What Youll Do:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Lead and participate in IEP meetings, partnering with staff and families to ensure student success
• Deliver targeted instruction to a small group of K-6 students with mild to moderate needs
• Manage classroom routines and interventions that meet both academic and social/emotional goals
• Collaborate closely with support staff, general educators, administration, and families
• Maintain accurate student progress records and adjust plans as necessary
• Contribute to a positive school culture and a safe, welcoming learning environment
