Special Education Teacher - Pioneer, California

Step into a meaningful role serving middle school students as a contract Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026/27 academic year. Based near Pioneer, CA, this full-time position will focus on supporting students needing Resource Specialist Program (RSP) services. Youll play a critical part in both push-in and pull-out settings, working collaboratively with general education teams and ensuring compliance with students IEPs.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential is required
• Demonstrated experience with IEP development, documentation, and implementation
• Previous work within an RSP model strongly preferred
• Confident working with a diverse middle school student population
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage caseload and collaborate effectively

Responsibilities:

• Serve a maximum caseload of 28 students in a middle school RSP setting
• Implement individualized strategies through push-in and pull-out services
• Develop, participate in, and document IEP meetings and ongoing updates
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that facilitates student learning and growth
• Collaborate with general and special education colleagues, support staff, and families
