Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active California Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) credentialthis is a strict requirement
  • Experience in early childhood or elementary special education settings, preferably with ECSE-specific caseloads
  • Strong knowledge of current best practices in individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of early childhood special education students
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to the creation and monitoring of IEPs
  • Provide a supportive, inclusive learning environment to foster academic and social growth for all students
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and administrators to coordinate services and ensure compliance with educational standards
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for continued support
