Special Ed Teacher | Oakland, California

An exciting opportunity awaits for dedicated Special Education professionals in the South San Francisco area! Were seeking two skilled educators with expertise in serving elementary students with extensive support needs. As part of a dynamic school team, you'll work with K-2 students in either a newly-established classroom or an existing one, fostering growth and positive learning experiences for a caseload of 10 students.

Key Qualifications:

• Active California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Moderate/Severe) required
• Professional experience in elementary special education preferred
• Passion for working with students requiring moderate to severe support
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Committed to adapting instructional strategies to suit individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for all students
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social instruction in a supportive environment
• Collaborate with classroom aides, related service providers, and families
• Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom climate
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all compliance and reporting requirements

This is a full-time, contract position covering the 2026/2027 school year, from August 13th through the end of the academic term. Compensation for this role ranges from $40-55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
