Special Ed Teacher | Oakland, California

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher working with TK/Kindergarten students in a moderate/severe setting. This full-time contract role starts as soon as possible and extends through June 2026. You'll be part of a dedicated team in a welcoming school environment close to San Leandro, CA, with one available position supporting an ESN (mod/severe) caseload.

Your expertise will help shape positive experiences and essential learning outcomes for students with diverse abilities. The ideal candidate holds active California licensure in moderate/severe special education and brings passion, patience, and innovation to the classroom.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California credential for moderate/severe special education (required)
• Experience or interest in Early Start Network (ESN) and TK/K levels
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Collaborative approach to working with support staff, specialists, and families
• Ability to adapt instruction for individual educational needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with IEPs
• Provide direct intervention and support to students with significant needs
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and administration
• Maintain accurate and timely records and documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Engage families as partners in student progress
