Special Education Teacher - Napa, CA

A full-time contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Elementary Mod/Severe or ESN classrooms. This role supports a 4th to 6th-grade caseload and runs from August 13, 2026, to June 3, 2027.

In this position, you will work with a dedicated cohort and collaborate with school staff to promote student development and learning. Your expertise will empower elementary-aged students with moderate to severe needs, offering individualized instruction and supporting their growth in both academic and social-emotional areas.

Qualifications:

• Current and active California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with authorization in Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN)
• Prior experience working with students in Mod/Severe or ESN elementary settings preferred
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and compliance
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement specialized instructional programs tailored to students unique abilities
• Develop and maintain effective IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and materials to address individual learning styles
• Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adapt instruction as needed
• Collaborate with families, therapists, and support staff to optimize student success
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all state and federal regulations
