Special Education Teacher in Napa, CA

Embark on a rewarding contract position in special education serving kindergarten and first-grade students at the elementary level. Qualifications:

• Valid California education specialist credential (Moderate/Severe or ESN), or in process of obtaining
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Dedication to creating inclusive, structured learning environments
• Passion for individualized student growth and academic achievement

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with moderate to severe disabilities in kindergarten and first grade
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet each students functional and academic needs
• Implement evidence-based classroom management techniques and positive behavior supports
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Maintain compliance with IDEA regulations and all district guidelines
• Collect data, document student progress, and participate in IEP meetings and scheduled professional development
