Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education professional by supporting students in a moderate to severe needs (ESN) classroom environment. This full-time contract opportunity is available immediately and runs through the end of the school year. Youll work closely with a dedicated caseload of 10-15 students, guiding educational outcomes and supporting their development with the help of a team of 5-9 para educators.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and active California Moderate/Severe (Mod/Sev) Credential (required)
- Demonstrated experience within an ESN Special Day Class setting
- Proficiency in developing and writing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Skilled in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
- Ability to mentor, coach, and lead a team of para educators in the classroom
- Strong organizational skills and a student-centered mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized education plans for students with moderate to severe needs
- Implement effective behavior management strategies that ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Manage, coach, and support para educators, fostering teamwork and professional growth
- Collect data, document student progress, and adjust instruction based on evolving student requirements
Pay for this position ranges from $40 to $55 per hour, reflecting your expertise and experience.
