Job Description

Step into a classroom designed for students with mild to moderate needs, including those enrolled in a behavior intervention program (Emotional Disability classroom) serving grades 712. Youll be working closely with two full-time aides, ensuring a supportive and collaborative atmosphere that fosters student growth.
What Youll Bring:
- Current and active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (required)
- Experience teaching or working with students with emotional and behavioral needs preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for differentiated instruction and positive behavioral supports
- Commitment to working on-site, in-person with students and staff
Your Role Will Include:
- Leading a caseload of 510 middle and high school students in a self-contained classroom environment
- Crafting and implementing IEPs tailored to individual strengths and goals
- Collaborating with support staff, related service providers, and families to ensure each student's success
- Managing a nurturing and structured classroom environment designed for behavior intervention
- Offering direct academic, social, and behavioral instruction to support diverse learning needs
