Special Education Teacher - Live Oak, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Active California Moderate/Severe Education Specialist Credential required
• Demonstrated experience in ESN Special Day Classes (moderate/severe)
• Strong background writing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Skilled in developing and applying Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Proven ability to coach, supervise, and motivate 59 para educators in a classroom setting
• Experience managing a student caseload of 1015 within specialized programs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional, student-centered instruction tailored to individual needs
• Develop and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance and best practices
• Effectively guide behavioral interventions and foster positive, growth-oriented learning environments
• Lead, train, and provide direction to para educators to optimize classroom functioning
• Collaborate with families and support staff for holistic student support
• Track and document student progress, participating in meetings as needed
