Special Ed Teacher - Jamestown, California

Youll join a dynamic environment that values collaboration, innovation, and individualized support for each students educational journey. Your days will run from 7:30am to 2:30pm, allowing structure and predictability for both you and your students.

Qualifications:

• Valid California teaching credential in Special Education, either mild/moderate or moderate/severe (active status required)
• Previous experience with elementary students in a Special Day Class (SDC) preferred
• Deep understanding of IEP development, instructional strategies, and behavioral management tailored to diverse learning needs
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and support services
• Compassion, patience, and commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized instructional programs for a caseload of 12 elementary students
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers to ensure student success
• Develop, review, and update IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Adapt curriculum materials and assessments to meet varied learning goals
• Document student progress and maintain accurate, timely records
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
