Special Education Teacher | Jackson, California

This exciting contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated Special Education professional with expertise in middle school resource support. Located near San Andreas, CA, youll support students in a dynamic middle school setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a full-time SPED teacher, you'll be responsible for a caseload of up to 28 students, utilizing your skills to provide both push-in and pull-out servicesensuring each learners IEP goals are met with care and commitment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid, active California mild/moderate education specialist credential (required)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially with resource support programs
• Solid understanding and implementation of IEPs from development to execution
• Comfortable working with middle school students and families
• Strong communication and collaborative skills with staff and administrators

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage an assigned caseload of up to 28 middle school students in RSP (Resource Specialist Program)
• Deliver both push-in and pull-out special education services
• Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Communicate with parents, administrators, and general education teachers to support student progress
• Create an inclusive, supportive learning environment that identifies and responds to each student's unique needs
