Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting middle school students as a full-time Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This role centers on resource specialist program (RSP) support, focusing on delivering individualized instruction to a caseload of up to 28 students. Set in a collaborative school environment near San Andreas, youll apply your expertise in IEP development, implementing both push-in and pull-out strategies to foster student progress and growth.
What Youll Need:
- Active California mild/moderate education specialist credential (required)
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher at the middle school level
- Strong background with RSP service models and both push-in and pull-out teaching
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting, writing, and implementing IEPs
- Commitment to creating supportive, inclusive learning environments
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
What the Role Involves:
- Deliver specialized academic instruction to middle school students with diverse learning needs
- Manage and develop IEPs, collaborating with staff, families, and related service providers
- Implement individualized accommodations and modifications per student plans
- Monitor student progress, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records
- Consult and work closely with general education teachers to foster seamless inclusion
- Provide small group and one-on-one support as outlined in students IEPs
