Job Description
Make an impact as a Special Education teacher supporting high school students for the 2026-2027 school year in the San Andreas, CA area! This contract opportunity provides a dynamic and supportive environment for educators passionate about individualized instruction and advocacy for students with mild to moderate needs.
Bring your expertise as an RSP teacher to a high school setting, managing a caseload of up to 28 students. This role focuses on both push-in and pull-out instructional models and requires hands-on experience developing and implementing IEPs. If you hold an active California mild/moderate credential, your skills will be highly valued and essential for student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active CA mild/moderate teaching credential (required)
- Experience with high school student populations in special education settings
- Strong background in IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Knowledge of push-in/pull-out instructional models
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students in both inclusive and resource settings
- Develop, review, and manage IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support personnel, and parents
- Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Advocate for student needs and foster an inclusive, supportive environment
