Special Education Teacher - Gridley, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Active California Moderate/Severe (Mod/Sev) Education Specialist Credential (required)
• Prior experience in an ESN Special Day Class setting
• Demonstrated skill in writing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Deep understanding of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) and classroom management strategies
• Ability to coach, mentor, and direct a team of 59 paraeducators
• Experience handling a class caseload of 1015 students with moderate to severe needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Lead and coordinate classroom paraeducators, ensuring effective support and collaboration
• Draft, update, and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Develop and apply effective behavioral interventions and positive support plans
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student growth and engagement
• Collaborate closely with families, related service providers, and administration
