Special Ed Teacher | Fremont, California

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting 7th and 8th grade students in a therapeutic classroom setting. Based near San Jose, this full-time role is perfect for a skilled Special Education Teacher who thrives in dynamic environments and is dedicated to supporting students with unique behavioral and academic needs. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 9th, 2025.

You'll work alongside a strong team: four experienced adults provide consistent support, and you'll engage with students who benefit from specialized instruction and behavioral strategies. This is an excellent chance to make a daily impact and further develop your expertise within a collaborative, therapeutic classroom.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California Special Education teaching credentialmild/moderate or moderate/severe required
• Demonstrated experience with middle and/or high school SDC (Special Day Class) students
• Proven ability to support students with behavioral challenges in a positive, proactive manner
• Comfortable collaborating with classroom staff and contributing to a structured environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, evidence-based instruction aligned with each student's IEP
• Foster a safe, supportive classroom by using positive behavioral intervention techniques
• Collaborate with a dedicated classroom team to create continuity, structure, and progress for all students
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with related service providers and families
• Communicate effectively with students, support staff, and administration
