Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid California CTC credential for Mild/Moderate specialization (required)
  • Prior experience in elementary special education settings, preferably with mild/moderate caseloads
  • Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfort with data-driven instruction, IEP development, and progress monitoring
  • Enthusiasm for supporting diverse learners and cultivating an inclusive classroom culture
  • Openness to travel and adapting quickly to new settings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to elementary students with mild/moderate learning needs, following IEP goals
  • Assess student abilities and collaborate with support staff, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective educational plans
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
  • Foster positive, supportive relationships with pupils, encouraging social and academic development
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
