Special Education Teacher in Elk Grove, CA

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting K-6 students in a resource (RSP) classroom setting. This full-time contract role, located near Galt, CA, offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse group of learners, helping them achieve their individual educational goals from now until June 3, 2026.

As the dedicated educator in this role, youll collaborate with general education teachers, develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), and provide direct instruction tailored to students specific needs. Your role will serve as a critical connection between students, families, and school staff, ensuring each child receives the support necessary for success.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (required)
• Prior experience teaching in a special education/resource (RSP) classroom environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to supporting diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver effective instruction to K-6 resource students in accordance with IEPs
