Special Ed Teacher - Concord, California

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential (state requirements met)
• Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters a plus)
• Demonstrated experience working with students with disabilities or varying needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators, support staff, and families
• Experience writing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver customized lesson plans to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
• Assess student progress, adapting instruction as needed to maximize growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school staff to foster an inclusive environment
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, IEP goals, and communication with parents or guardians
• Engage families in the educational process, offering support and strategies for student success at home
• Contribute to team meetings, professional development, and ongoing collaboration efforts
