• Valid and active California Special Education Teaching credentials (required)

• Knowledge of best practices for elementary-age exceptional student needs (ESN)
• Capacity to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration skills with families, support staff, and specialists
• Patience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills

What Youll Do:

• Support and engage a caseload of five non-verbal elementary students, grades 1-5
• Create and adapt individualized lesson plans and educational materials
• Implement appropriate interventions and communication supports, such as AAC devices
• Foster a nurturing and structured classroom environment
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with all IEP requirements
• Collaborate with classroom aides, therapists, and parents to promote student success
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and progress reviews
