Qualifications/Experience:

• Active California Moderate/Severe Education Specialist credential (required)
• Prior experience teaching elementary-age students, particularly in ESN SPED settings, preferred
• Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Ability to cultivate an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction designed to meet the diverse needs of elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain up-to-date records and progress notes in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Foster an encouraging, positive atmosphere that promotes student growth and independence
• Effectively communicate with families, staff, and external providers regarding student progress and needs
• Participate actively in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
