Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting K-6 students with mild to moderate needs. This full-time, in-person role begins in August for the 2026/2027 academic year. Youll work on a main campus alongside a collaborative administrative team, including Principal and Vice Principal support, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality guidance and instruction for your students.

In this role, you will work directly with a small caseload of up to 10 students, where youll be instrumental in shaping educational and social-emotional outcomes for each learner. Your detailed knowledge in IEP implementation and facilitation will be essential, as well as your expertise supporting students navigating unique social-emotional challenges.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid, active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (required)
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Special Education Teacher, specifically in K-6 settings
  • Extensive background in developing, implementing, and facilitating IEPs and related meetings
  • Strong skills in supporting students with both academic and social/emotional needs
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with team members, administrators, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction tailored to individual student needs
  • Serve as case manager for up to 10 students, ensuring compliance with all IEP requirements
  • Collaborate closely with school leadership and related service providers
  • Lead IEP meetings and facilitate open communication with stakeholders
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment
