Qualifications:

• Current SLI Certification valid in Texas
• BEI Certification required
• Proven experience in educational settings preferred
• Ability to interpret for a diverse student population in K-12
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism

Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for students, staff, and families in academic and extracurricular situations
• Assist teachers and support teams in adapting instructional materials for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Foster a comfortable, inclusive, and supportive environment for student learning
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to school guidelines and policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals and IEPs when appropriate
