Per Diem School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Wetumpka, Alabama

Make a significant impact on the educational experience of students as a Per Diem School-Based Registered Nurse. This position is designed for compassionate professionals passionate about supporting academic, behavioral, and social development through individualized care and attention.

In this per diem role, you'll partner closely with teachers and school staff, providing essential support to students either 1:1 or in small groups. Your ability to foster student participation and well-being will help create an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver academic, behavioral, and social support in accordance with teacher direction and students' individualized needs
• Assist students during daily routines, classroom activities, and transitions
• Follow behavior support strategies and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care for students as needed
• Uphold a safe, welcoming, and respectful educational environment for all students

Qualifications:

• Current and active Alabama RN license
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Compliance with TB testing per district requirements
• Physically able to stand, walk, and provide lifting support as necessary
• Completion of required clearances or willingness to obtain them before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certification or experience is an advantage
• Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic team player
