Per Diem School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Waterford, Michigan

School Registered Nurses have an incredible opportunity to provide one-on-one support for students in a school-based setting. These per diem positions offer the flexibility to accept shifts that align with your availability while making a direct impact on the lives of young learners each day. Youll be assisting students medically, behaviorally, and socially, ensuring that each child gets the care and encouragement they need to thrive in the classroom environment.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering 1:1 medical support and guidance as directed by teachers and staff
• Assisting students with daily routines, medical needs, transitions, and classroom participation
• Providing mobility aid, supervision, and discreet personal care support
• Creating and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for learning

Applicants will need to meet school compliance standards, including:

• An active RN license
• A high school diploma or GED; must be at least 18
• A current TB test
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Required background clearances (current or willing to obtain prior to starting)

Preferred candidates will have experience in educational, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings, with a special focus on supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges. Skills such as CPR, G-Tube, or Trach management are valued, but not mandatory. A reliable, patient, and team-oriented attitude will set you up for success.
