Per Diem School RN in Waterbury, CT

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Compliance with TB testing as per district requirements

• Willingness to obtain required clearances prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing
• Familiarity with IEPs, emergency care plans, and working alongside educational teams
• Experience supporting students with special health needs, ADHD, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Background in special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Certification or exposure to behavioral intervention techniques (CPI, PMT, RBT) is a plus
• Reliable, collaborative, and patient demeanor

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-to-one or small-group support for health, academic, and social needs

• Assist teachers with classroom inclusion and health education
