Per Diem School Registered Nurse | Wallingford, Connecticut

School Registered Nurses are needed to provide vital 1:1 support for students in a welcoming and structured school environment. In this role, youll collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom. Nurses will play a key part in meeting students medical, behavioral, and social needs, supporting their daily routines, and providing ongoing supervision and personal care throughout the school day.

What Youll Do:

• Deliver 1:1 care and support to students as directed by school personnel
• Assist with medical needs, transitions, and participation in classroom activities
• Guide and supervise mobility and personal care in a respectful manner
• Collaborate with teachers to foster a supportive learning environment
• Monitor and encourage safe behavior and engagement throughout each school day

What Youll Need:

• Active RN license
• High school diploma or GED, at least 18 years of age
• Updated TB test, and willingness to obtain all required school clearances
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Compliance with school and district health guidelines

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs or behavioral challenges
• CPR certification; experience with G-Tube or Trach care is helpful but not required
• Patience, reliability, and a collaborative spirit
