Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Previous experience in a school nursing or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies and triage student health concerns
• Familiarity with best practices in medication administration and care coordination
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to supporting students of all ages

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer routine and emergency care to students and staff, acting as a resource for health-related questions
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions or specialized needs
• Manage medication administration, adhering to school protocols and ensuring appropriate recordkeeping
• Perform health screenings, such as vision and hearing tests, and collaborate with families and healthcare providers as needed
• Promote healthy habits and preventive health measures through education and outreach within the school community
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all district policies, state laws, and regulatory requirements
