Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in students lives by supporting them in the school environment as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. This per diem opportunity offers flexibilitychoose when and how often you work based on your availability and school coverage needs.
In this role, youll provide critical 1:1 care for students as part of a dedicated school-based team. Youll use your clinical knowledge and nurturing approach to empower young learners, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored medical, behavioral, and social support for students within classroom and campus settings
- Assist with daily routines, mobility, transitions, and participation in educational activities
- Carry out 1:1 care tasks under the direction of teachers and school personnel
- Monitor and attend to personal care needs, supporting inclusive, respectful learning
- Maintain compliance with all safety and health protocols within the school context
Required Qualifications:
- Active California RN license
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Recent TB test (per district guidelines)
- Ability and willingness to meet physical demands (standing, walking, assistive tasks)
- All required clearances current or attainable before assignment
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in a school, special education, behavioral health, or child care environment
- Familiarity with student populations with autism, special needs, or behavioral considerations
- Comfort or certification in CPR, G-Tube, and Trach care is a plus
- Demonstrates teamwork, patience, reliability, and adaptability
