Per Diem Registered Nurse School Setting in Glenview, IL

School Registered Nurses play an essential role in supporting student health, well-being, and daily participation in school life. Flexible per diem opportunities are now available for Registered Nurses who are eager to provide 1:1 assistance and make a meaningful difference in students educational journeys within structured school environments.

As a dedicated school-based nurse, youll offer individualized care to students, helping them succeed both medically and socially throughout the school day. Shifts are offered as needed, giving you the flexibility to choose assignments that fit your schedule and lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 support to students during classroom activities, routines, and transitions
• Assist with medical needs, personal care, and supervision as directed by school staff
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere
• Support students mobility, behavior, and participation in educational settings
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure seamless care and integration for each student

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• High school diploma or GED (must be at least 18 years old)
• Willingness to complete TB test and secure all required school clearances
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience within schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Comfort supporting children with special needs or behavioral challenges (autism, etc.)
• Familiarity with CPR, G-Tube, or Trach care is a plus
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach to teamwork
