Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience providing care to pediatric or adolescent populations is highly desirable
- Prior work in school nursing, community health, or similar settings preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to function independently within a school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care for students and staff, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic condition management
- Triage and respond to health emergencies and acute situations in compliance with policy and protocol
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records and documentation
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside providers as needed to support student wellness plans
- Educate students and faculty on best practices for illness prevention and overall health
- Ensure compliance with state and local health regulations
