Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
• Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or community nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding student privacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer basic care, emergency response, and routine health screenings to students as needed
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with acute and chronic needs
• Dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and school policies
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external providers to support optimal student health
• Maintain detailed health records and documentation in compliance with all regulations
• Educate students and staff about health practices, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Participate in health-related events and contribute to a positive school climate
