Key Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher required
- At least 18 years old
- Able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
- Current fingerprint background clearance, or willingness to secure it prior to starting
- Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care preferred
- Experience with students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges desired
- Certification or experience in CPI, PMT, or as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a plus
- Reliable, patient demeanor and strong teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized or small group academic, behavioral, and social support following teacher guidance
- Help students with daily routines, transitions, and inclusive classroom participation
- Implement behavioral interventions and follow IEPs to support student goals
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
- Support a safe, respectful, and encouraging learning environment
