Job Description
School-based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) professionals are currently being sought to serve as substitute support staff in educational settings near Stockton, CA. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide essential academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
- Collect data and report student behaviors to supervising staff
- Deliver targeted 1:1 or small-group support as guided by educators
- Facilitate smooth transitions and daily routines for students
- Implement individualized behavior support plans and follow IEPs when required
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care based on student needs
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- 18 years of age or older
- TB clearance as required by the district
- Ability to stand, walk, and support safe lifting practices
- Willingness to complete background and clearance requirements prior to start
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or related training highly valued (but not mandatory)
- Dependability, patience, and strong collaborative skills
