Per Diem School-Based Paraprofessional Southgate, MI

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social support in alignment with teacher guidance
- Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
- Implement behavioral support plans and comply with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide support for mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as needed
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all students
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher
- At least 18 years of age
- Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting tasks
- Willingness to complete fingerprint background clearances prior to starting
Preferred Background:
- Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Familiarity supporting students with disabilities, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training or certification in CPI, PMT, or RBT viewed as an advantage
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative work ethic
